Ski Holidays in Paradiski - France

Tucked deep in the Tarentaise Valley, the three neighbouring resorts that make up the massive Paradiski area are famous for consistently excellent snowfall. Les Arcs and La Plagne are household names for skiers. Chances are one of them hosted your very first ski holiday, and it’s easy to see why. The third resort, Peisey-Vallandry, is a charming, tree-lined village below Les Arcs, offering quieter slopes while still giving seamless access to the vast Paradiski network.

The Vanoise Valley separates Les Arcs and La Plagne, but getting between them is a breeze thanks to the Vanoise Express, a double-decker cable car that whisks 200 skiers across in just seven minutes. With over 420km of pistes, 264 marked runs, elevations ranging from 1,200m to 3,250m, and two glaciers to explore, Paradiski delivers endless variety and adventure for skiers of every level.

La Plagne and Les Arcs are fantastic choices for families or skiers looking for a laid back atmosphere on their ski holiday. Enjoy tree-lined blues and cruisy reds ideal for perfecting your carving.

La Plagne

La Plagne offers something for every skier, from gentle bunny slopes for beginners to challenging off-piste for the experts, and plenty of it. With ski schools catering to all levels, everyone can find their perfect piste. Its sheer size and variety also mean La Plagne is a great place for value-packed ski holidays, whether you’re after a catered chalet or a self-catered apartment, all season long.

Getting around is effortless too. Free buses run throughout the day and late into the evening, while night gondolas link the villages, making it simple to explore the entire area and always get back to your chalet without fuss. La Plagne isn’t just big; it’s brilliantly accessible, making every ski day easy, fun, and full of choice.

Les Arcs

When visiting Les Arcs, you’ve got four villages to choose from:1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000, which makes it perfect for returning year after year, moving up as your skiing improves. Each village offers access to slightly different terrain, so you can tailor your holiday to your ability. At the top, the Aiguille Rouge stands at 3,226m, the highest point in both the Vanoise range and the entire Paradiski area. The views are breathtaking, and the 7km run back down into the resort is a serious thigh-burner, but totally worth it!

Les Arcs also has a unique twist: you can hop on the funicular from Arc 1600 straight down into the historic Savoie town of Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Perfect for an afternoon when the weather closes in or if you fancy a change of pace, it’s a charming way to explore a little local culture without leaving the mountains behind.
